Darren Tony Trofimczuk is a British educational technology expert and teacher with over 19 years of experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology & International Politics (BSc Hons), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Master of Business Administration in Communication Management (MBA) and is Google for Education Level 1 certified.
Born and raised in London, Darren came to Finland in 2011 with his Finnish wife and two children and continued his career as a Technology Coordinator at the International School in Helsinki. ​Darren now works as a lecturer at Haaga-Helia University in Porvoo Campus and lectures in courses for the International Business, Tourism and Aviation degree programmes.
​Darren’s interests outside educational technology and business are aviation, fitness training, international current affairs, space exploration and travelling. One of Darren’s big plans is to pursue his dream of becoming a space tourist by the time he reaches his 50th birthday, perhaps with Virgin Galactic by 2030.
Darren is the co-creator of Responsible Space Tourism module in Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.
